Another Place to Shop
I've just signed up as a member of IndieMade, a fabulous shop in downtown Boise that offers the best of locally-made arts and crafts products. If you are in Boise, be sure to visit the shop, located at 108 N. 6th Street in Old Boise. I expect to have an ever-changing assortment of aprons there, including some one-of-a-kind aprons that won't be available anywhere else. It's exciting to be part of such a creative and productive group of folks!
New and Old
I kept a notebook nearby at all the markets and festivals I attended this summer, ready to record new apron ideas. Sometimes the ideas came from seeing the hip fashions worn by those visiting my booth, and other times I sketched variations of my existing apron styles. As soon as the holidays are over, I'll sew up those ideas and decide if any of them will make it into my 2012 line. If they do work out, expect to see two or three completely new styles this spring.
Are you hoping for a hint of what's to come? Picture this: maybe a wrap-around, or a multitude of flounces, and even one that might have a teeny bit of naughty amidst the nice.
It also means closing out some existing styles. Check the Clearance section for great deals on close-outs!
Size Ranges
Good news for those looking for girls' aprons: I've created 3 girls' sizes in the Spice style! These join two Sizzle and one Flame girls' sizes.
Summer Plans
It's too early to make real plans yet, but I'm expecting to do one out-of-town festival during each of the months from June through October. (Well...maybe two in August if I can keep up production!) Besides that I'm hoping the Boise Capital Market will allow me to again sign up for one Saturday in June, July, and August.
With luck, I'll be at an arts/crafts festival somewhere near you in 2012!
